Meet the Composer

Trigger will be the latest installment in a series of works focused on breaking down stereotypes, uncovering mysteries, and revealing truths about how black men exist in contemporary America and how they’ve existed throughout history. In addition to continuing the collaboration between composer Sven Abow and choreographer Helanius J. Wilkins, Trigger will incorporate actors, slam poets, and performance artists to create a work that is not merely a kinetic examination but a fully sensory experience.
