Meet the Composer

Cry will be a dance performance piece based in part on ideas developed by Michelson and Drungle during their 2008 summer/fall residency in Cardiff, Wales. Drungle will create themes that utilize the Welsh history of singing in the Eisteddfod competition style. These themes will later be re-orchestrated and merged symbiotically with Michelson’s choreography with particular concern for creating a rigorous study and application of numbers. The work will premiere at The Kitchen in February 2009.
