American Modern Ensemble The American Modern Ensemble will perform John Luther Adams' Dark Wind (2001), a chamber work for bass clarinet, vibraphone, marimba, and piano. There will be an on-stage conversation with Adams and other composers featured on the program prior to the second half and moderated by AME artistic director Robert Paterson. This conversation will touch on various aspects pertinent to the composers'
work: sources of inspiration, technical issues of composition and performance, relevance of physical location to music, and other matters.
