Meet the Composer

Daniel Wohl

The piece, entitled Rotator, entails a prerecording of individual tracks by the musicians in TRANSIT. During the performance these parts would be sent around the room through Diapason’s 12 channel system, while at the same time being altered through live processing. The piece will attempt to blur the audience’s notion of where the sound is coming from. Daniel Wohl also plans on writing a quiet piece that makes full use of the acoustic properties of the various instruments. There will be four featured performances in 2010.
