Meet the Composer

Yotam Haber

Yotam Haber will create a work for string orchestra, voice, electronics and percussion for The Knights Ensemble. The piece will build and expand upon his research on the ancient music traditions of the Jewish community of Rome. Alongside the strings section of The Knights, the work will include singers, percussion, and electronics, combined with archival recordings of Roman cantors from the 1940s and 1950s, discovered this past year in the archives of the Academia di Santa Cecilia.
