Rene Clausen's New Work Is Premiered at Nine Different Churches
Rene Clausen's newly commissioned work was premiered by the attending choir members from 9 different churches from all over the Bucks, Montgomery, Berks, and Lehigh Counties. After the May 9th performance, each church had the opportunity to use the new piece in their own houses of worship, thus allowing more people across the south eastern region of PA to hear the new work. Dr. Clausen was present at the Morrisville Presbyterian Church service on May 10 where the senior choir performed the piece during their Sunday worship services. While in Pennsylvania, Dr. Clausen also attended the premiere of a piece commissioned by Central Bucks High School West. Dr. Clausen also presented a workshop for the attending choir directors that included a session on composing music for worship, commissioning new works for worship and a question and answer session on varied topics. Dr. Clausen l also spent the day on Friday May 8th at the Central Bucks High School West, where he met with the choir members there to discuss and conduct rehearsals for a newly commissioned work for that ensemble.
