The Boise Philharmonic Performs Jennifer Higdon
The Boise Philharmonic will perform Jennifer Higdon's Concerto for Orchestra on February 19, 2010 at Swayne Auditorium on the campus of Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho, and on February 20 at the Morrison Center for Performing Arts in Boise, Idaho, for their Subscription Concerts. Ms. Higdon will speak at the Boise Philharmonic's Backstage with the Artists program at noon on February 19, which is free of charge and open to the general public. She will also speak at the Boise Philharmonic's Pre-Concert Lectures preceding both concerts on February 19 in Nampa and on February 20 in Boise. Immediately prior to the performance of her work at both concerts, Ms. Higdon will introduce her work by discussing the inspiration for and details of her composition.
