For thirty-two years, Meet The Composer has been dedicated to supporting living composers through nationally recognized programs, providing composers with direct financial assistance both to pursue their work and to present that work to a wide ranging public.
The innovative approach toward projects involving commissioning, residency, education, and audience interaction has revolutionized the environment for composers in this country. To date, more than 1000 new pieces have been created as a result of MTC's support, reaching live audiences totaling over 45 million individuals.
