In Magnum Opus, individual patron Kathryn Gould is realizing her dream of commissioning work for orchestra by funding nine new orchestral works for three different Bay Area orchestras: The Santa Rosa Symphony, The Marin Symphony and The Oakland East Bay Symphony.

Over the next several seasons these works will receive multiple performances by the original Magnum Opus orchestras as well as other orchestras nationwide.

The nine composers selected for the Magnum Opus project are: Kenji Bunch, David Carlson, Osvaldo Golijov, Pierre Jalbert, Ingram Marshall, Kevin Puts, Bezhad Ranjbaran, Roberto Sierra, and Peteris Vasks.
