Meet the Composer

Sean Noonan will travel to Mali to conduct field studies, research folklore and storytelling from the Griot and Mandingo traditions which will be incorporated into a series of works commissioned by the American Composers Forum. While in Mali Noonan will also conduct a series of workshops and performances with musicians from the local Malian scene, engaging them in the 'wandering music theory'.
