Meet the Composer

Rolnick will present The Economic Engine, a 20-minute new musical and multimedia work for an octet of Chinese and western instruments, video projections, and real time digital audio processing. The piece has been commissoned by China's Electronic Music Center at China's Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and will premiere as part of the Conservatory's celebrations of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
