David Ludwig will be the Vermont Symphony's composer-in-residence from 2006 through 2009. The VSO will begin the relationship by engaging David as their first New Music Advisor. In this capacity he will, among other things, participate in the Vermont Youth Orchestra's summer music camp, on-campus interactive sessions in the Vermont State College system, electronic mentoring of younger composers through the Vermont MIDI program, and advise the Music Director, Jamie Laredo, on programming. Ludwig has also been commissioned to write a major new work for the VSO.
