James Primosch work will be featured as a centerpiece of the Orchestra’s May, 2010 American Music Festival. The work is to be composed for large orchestra and will be titled, “Luminescence: Three Hudson River Images.” Mr. Primosch is planning a significant three-movement work that celebrates the achievements of the “Luminist” school of painters who lived and worked along the river in the late 19th century. The work will be presented by the full orchestra with a backdrop of projections of paintings by the “Luminist” painters who inspired the work.
