Meet the Composer

Mind Out of Matter will pair a rich sound palette with a reality-based sense of wonder, based on the sampled voice of renowned American philosopher and author Daniel Dennett. The work will be scored for a large mixed chamber ensemble, with electric guitar and bass. This will be a serious but celebratory work, a meditation on how the physical universe, using only the materials at hand, has gradually given rise to a consciousness capable of discovering how it came to be.
