On Sunday March 28, 2010 at Hulsey Recital Hall at the University of Alabama at Birmingham cellist and new music advocate Craig Hultgren will perform a recital of contemporary chamber and solo works. On the program are Aleksander Sternfeld-Dunn’s work for solo cello, Snap, the premiere of his duo for English horn and cello, …and I will love the silence…, Alphone Izzo's The Madcap Laughed for solo cello, and the premiere of a new trio by Izzo for cello, clarinet, and piano.
Be sure to come early for the pre-concert talk given by both composers.
