Meet the Composer

California State University Bakersfield Concert Band will perform "Echoes of Rascia" by Nebojsa S. Macura and "Hit on All Sixes" by Edward Knight as part of their Guest Composer concert series on Friday, June 4, 2009 in the Dore Theatre on the campus of CSU Bakersfield.

On Thursday, June 3 will be one-hour discussion with students of Form and Analysis in the afternoon, rehearsal with Concert Band with a recorded "run through". On Friday, June 4, the university will host a luncheon to which all area composers and available conductors are invited followed by a two hour Master Class. The composers will introduce their works in a pre-concert lecture.
