Pianists Jeanne Doty and Tracy Lipke-Perry present a recital of chamber works by Libby Larsen which includes the world premiere of a new two-piano work commissioned by the University of Minnesota. Other works programmed for performance on this recital include: Barn Dances (for flute, clarinet, and piano); The Astonishing Flight of the Gump: A Cabaret Entertainment for Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, and Piano; Songs from Letters (for soprano and piano) based on letters from Calamity Jane to her daughter Janey; Concert Piece (for bassoon and piano), and Licorice Stick (for clarinet and piano).
