Which program should I apply to?

MTC Programs primarily support commissioning or some form of audience engagement (residencies, concert talks, workshops, etc.).

• Commissioning: funds to create new musical works
• Engagement: funds to support composers interacting with audiences and other communities though anything from single events (concert talks, master classes, workshops, etc.) to multi-year residencies

Where do I file reports?

Beginning in 2010, all organizations receiving support from Meet The Composer should file reports through our on-line grant management system. You can access this system at any time by going to mtconline.org. Composers receiving support from MTC should email their reports to reports@meetthecomposer.org.

How do I get involved in New Music, New Donors?

Each New Music, New Donors project (including Magnum Opus) has its own selection process and criteria. Rarely are there open calls in the traditional sense. However, MTC maintains an extensive collection of recordings to aid in the composer selection process for these projects. To have your music included in our collection, please send CD recordings of representative works, biography and full contact information to:
