Meet the Composer

The AACM Chicago Chapter will present a series of concerts and activities featuring the music of composer Adegoke Steve Colson July 14 and 15. The composer will participate in a workshop on composition at the AACM school. His work will presented in concert at the Velvet Lounge featuring musicians from the AACM (July 14) and the Great Black Music Ensemble (July 15). On the afternoon of July 15, the AACM will present a performance of Music for Quintet featuring Colson at the piano. The composer will participate in a pre-concert lecture/demonstration and a post-performance opportunity for the audience to have a conversation with the composer and other performers.
