Meet the Composer

CD will sponsor a showcase concert of new and recent compositions by Avshalomov on Sept. 15. Performers: the LA Flute Orchestra; the Mladi String Quartet; Pamela Pyle; soprano Maurita Phillips-Thornburgh. Program: The Second Coming (Yeats), Songs of Life (Dickinson), Sacred Winds for flute orch., and Trotsky's Train for piano sextet.
