ASM requests support for Warren Defever, Dan Littleton, Pat Muchmore, Andrea La Rose and John Wriggle to participate in a series of activities by ASM exploring musical concepts of intimacy and performance, led by Warren Defever. This builds on a residency from September 2006 with Defever called Come Out The Wilderness (which looked at the concepts of space and time and was funded by MTC Creative Connections). The activities in this residency will take place on February 19, 20, and 21, 2008 and will include: a performance Warn Defever's After Devils Night and Dalek's Music for ASM, accompanied by new films commissioned from Warren Defever and Scrapworm respectively, at Monkey town in Brooklyn NY (2/19); a performance installation featuring handmade electric thumb pianos created by Warren Defever at Sound fix Records in Brooklyn NY (2/20); and a concert and conversation featuring the music of Warren Defever, Dan Littleton, Pat Muchmore, Andrea La Rose, John Wriggle and others at Galapagos in Brooklyn (2/21). ' Public Performances of Composers Work: The Monkeytown (2/19) performance will feature performances and discussions of After Devils Night by Warren Defever (which will be accompanied by a film also by Defever), and Music for ASM by Dalek (which will be accompanied by a film by Scrapworm). The Sound fix installation (2/20) will feature performance and discussion of an ambient work for 25 electric thumb pianos - all handmade by Warren Defever - which will be performed by ASM and members of the audience. The Galapagos show (2/21) will feature performances and discussion of Top Dog Third World by John Wriggle, i blame you (I.b.) by Andrea La Rose, Voiceprint XI by Peter Hess, PortraitS by Pat Muchmore, Vancouver Postfare 2 by Charles Waters, the world premiere of The Silver Piano by Warren Defever, and songs from the Nobody's Fault but Mine song cycle/album by Dan Littleton.
