Coleman will perform at the Irtijal Festival where he will give lectures and workshops on improvised music and work with collaborators to develop a large-scale work to premiere in 2007.

Kline will create and present a new work for multiple boom-boxes and processional to be performed as part of the cultural programming associated with the 2006 winter olympic games in Torino.

Julius Fujak |
Composer: Julius Fujak (SLOVAKIA)
Hosting Organization: California EAR Unit (Los Angeles, CA)
California EAR Unit will perform Fujak's "TransPOPsitions" at LA County Museum of the Arts. While in LA, Fujak will participate in open rehearals, a salon for the members of the ACF-LA chapter and composition seminars at CalArts. The ensemble will travel to Slovakia in November to perform Fujak's work for audiences there.

Kim will perform the premiere of her new work "One Sky" in the Demilitarized Zone between North and South Korea. She will also teach composition and electronic music workshops.

Brisco will travel to Eastern Europe for two different activities. First, he will perform in the production of his opera "Café Antarsia" at the Karantena International Festival; afterwards, he will travel to Serbia for collaboration meetings with musicians and actors on the creation of a new work "Book of Tea," made with playwright Ruth Magraff.

Ortiz will attend the US premiere of her work "Altar de Neon" after a ten-day residency with the San Francisco Chamber Orcxhestra. The residency activity will focus on outreach to the Mexican and Mexican-American community in the Bay Area.
