Rising Italian composer Luca Antignani will travel to the US for the premiere of his new work Il viaggio di Humbert by the Left Coast Chamber Ensemble. He will give pre-concert talks, several radio and press interviews and conduct a master class at UC Davis.

Hosting Organziation: Slowalk – Relay Music Series (Seoul, South Korea)

Jones and Eubanks will travel to Seoul to create a new work in collaboration with the musicians of the Relay Music Series. After the premiere, the new work will be recorded for later commercial release.

Gosfield will travel to Denmark for research and development of her new opera Floating Messages and Fading Frequencies, inspired by radio transmissions of the Danish Resistance in World War II

Heidemann and her ensemble, the Monika H Band, will be part of the line-up of the 2007 Vilnius Jazz Festival. They will give two performances and conduct a jam session/workshop on vocal improvisation.

Art Lee

Taiko master Art Lee will travel with his ensemble to the Twin Cities to create a new work in collaboration with Ragamala, blending Japanese and Indian Classical traditions. Lee and the members of his ensemble will conduct a series of master classes and workshops leading up to the premiere of the new work at the Southern Theater.

Mr. Schocker has been invited to conduct a two-week workshop in Nicosia focused on group improvisation as a means creating a cultural bridge between artists in the Greek and Turkish communities of Cyprus. At the conclusion of the workshop will be several concerts and a public lecture by Schocker on American experimental music.
