Through a variety of programs, Meet The Composer provides support for composer fees to non-profit organizations that perform, present, or commission original works. Applications to all Meet The Composer programs are submitted by sponsoring organizations, not individual composers. Composers are selected by the organizations, who apply to Meet The Composer on their behalf.

Examples of eligible applicant organizations include, but are not restricted to the following:

orchestras, choruses, jazz, chamber music and new music ensembles, dance, opera and music theater companies, presenting organizations: schools, libraries, community development groups, public radio and television stations

Eligibility varies by program, and each program has its own deadline and application process. Please call, e-mail , or write Meet The Composer for more information.

For questions about specific programs, please contact Meet The Composer at 212-645-6949.
